The newly opened store in Meerkerk Amsterdam features food stations dedicated to showcasing and celebrating freshly prepared produce.
Fresh food is brought into the store bright and early, before staff set to work unloading the ingredients into refrigerated units before prepping for three different services.
Freshness is essential for La Place. They require products that not only keep produce at optimum temperatures but are also robust enough to keep up with the demand of a busy, non-stop service.
With such a vast food offering, the majority of which is made fresh to order and in full view of customers, La Place needed a solution that would allow an operation of this scope to function.
The products specified would need to deliver on performance, reliability, value, and look good, due to the open nature of the food production areas and the highly aesthetic overall concept of the store.
Working as partners with La Place, we were able to specify many True products to deliver a solution for the La Place brand and restaurant.
The selection included several units from our new T23G range and a couple of True prep tables.
Our new T23G refrigerators feature prominently throughout the establishment as a core element of the operation.
Glass front refrigeration was a crucial element for La Place. With a brand message-centric around freshness, using only the best ingredients and no artificial additives, they were keen to exhibit this to customers through glass door refrigerators spread throughout the restaurant.
Ingredients are stored in a T23G, chopped over a True Prep Table, then wrapped and prepped to be stored in a separate T23G – with a one-hour movement window. Equipment needed to suit these requirements while withstanding the pressures of a busy service and constant use while offering maximum storage and easy reach-in units to suit the demand of a wide-ranging menu.
The relentless opening and closing of fridge doors meant high energy efficiency and optimum holding temperatures were also essential.

We worked closely with La Place to achieve their efficiency targets, reducing energy consumption with reliable refrigeration products.
